We now encounter artificial intelligence in our everyday lives from morning to night. Whether at home, for example, as the basis for virtual assistants such as Alexa or Siri, or at work as software that helps with coding or analysing big data: AI is supposed to make everyday life easier. How can it do this for people who increasingly encounter barriers in their everyday lives? People with physical or mental disabilities, for example.
Dr Berit Blanc is researching this topic at DFKI - the German Research Centre for Artificial Intelligence in Berlin. At the 75th anniversary of Soup & Science, she talks to Jessica Wiener, rbb24 Inforadio, about this and how AI can also help with training and further education and in schools.
