We will give you a brief overview, with global examples, of what our current understanding of public interest AI is. We will draw on existing research - including our Civic Coding Study recently conducted by the Public Interest AI Research Group at HIIG for the Civic Coding Network. Depending on your availability, you can now choose between the following two dates:
Online Webinar I: August 22, 2023 | 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Online Webinar II: August 24, 2023 | 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
How can AI help address the climate crisis or pollution? How can it improve accessibility or serve other goals that are good for society as a whole? We map such AI projects that serve the public interest around the world and examine their challenges and success factors.
You can register for Webinar I (Aug. 22, 4-5 p.m.) here or Webinar II (Aug. 24, 10-11 a.m.) here. Please note that both webinars will cover the same topics, so register for only one of them.
