As part of the BIFOLD Colloquium on April 9, 2026 (4:00–5:00 PM), Prof. Nesime Tatbul (Intel, MIT) will present recent advances in scalable data management and analytics for modern observability. Observability refers to the ability to understand and control large-scale software systems using run-time telemetry, requiring the management of massive volumes of heterogeneous time-series data under tight resource constraints.
The talk explores how interactive, time-oriented queries and AI-driven techniques such as anomaly detection and explanation enhance system troubleshooting and performance analysis. Drawing on recent research, Prof. Tatbul will highlight approaches to efficiently process and analyze observability data at scale.
The event takes place on-site at BIFOLD (Franklinstraße 28/29, Floor 7, Room FR 701, 10587 Berlin) and is aimed at researchers and practitioners in data systems, machine learning, and software engineering.
