As part of the “A look inside” series, the Berlin-Brandenburg regional group of the Gesellschaft für Informatik invites participants on March 5, 2026, from 5:00 to 6:30 PM to visit the House of Robotics at Berlin University of Applied Sciences (BHT), Kurfürstenstraße 141, 10785 Berlin. In light of recent advances in artificial intelligence, edge computing, electrical engineering, and mechanical engineering, as well as national initiatives such as the “Robotik Booster,” the event offers a timely opportunity to explore current robotics research in Berlin.
The program begins with a 45-minute lecture session in the auditorium (front building, 3rd floor). Prof. Dr.-Ing. Ivo Boblan, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Hannes Höppner, and Kevin Sommler from the research consortium “Humanoid Robotics and Human-Technology Interaction” will present ongoing projects and answer questions. This is followed by a guided tour through selected laboratories, showcasing milestones on the path toward embodied AI.
The event is aimed at professionals, students, and anyone interested in AI-driven robotics and human-machine interaction. In addition to expert presentations, participants will have the opportunity to engage directly with researchers and discuss future challenges and opportunities in robotics. Participation is free of charge; registration required; limited capacity.
