The educaton of the future: ChatGPT - come to stay?

The use of digital media in learning processes is a central topic in research and societal discussions. It has the potential to revolutionize education systems and offer learners of the next generation individualized and interactive learning opportunities. This opens up innovative opportunities to expand access to education and overcome educational barriers. However, we must not ignore the potential risks.

A clear example of the importance of digital media in education was the COVID-19 pandemic, in which digitization became the only way out to keep classes going despite a complete shutdown. However, it also became clear that digital media cannot be a complete substitute for social exchange.

Currently, there is a lot of discussion about the use of ChatGPT and the upcoming big change in education. Topics such as changing teaching methods, re-evaluating creativity and revising outdated examination methods are in focus.

In our Weizenbaum Forum, we will join our guests to address different perspectives and take a look into the future of education.
