Dr. Astrid Walle is a mechanical engineer with a PhD in CFD with more than a decade of experience in applied fluid mechanics. She has held several positions in gas turbine R&D and AI development at Siemens Energy, Vattenfall and Rolls Royce. Following her professional determination to bring AI and Data Science into engineering, she ran her own business and worked as a Product Manager in a software startup before she rejoined Siemens Energy to establish the usage of data from the very beginning in product development.

Dr. Behnam Nouri – Siemens Energy

Dr. Omar Fergani is a founder and CEO of 1000Kelvin, an investor, and a teacher. He holds a Ph.D. in mechanics from Georgia Tech in Atlanta and the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). Passionate about advancing sustainable and responsible manufacturing through AI and digitalization, he transitioned into the tech venturing business after holding senior positions at various prestigious organizations. At Siemens Digital Industries, he directed the 3D printing software business, and at MKS Instruments, he led the digital business unit of the semiconductor company. Dr. Fergani is not only the co-founder and CEO of 1000Kelvin, the first AI-driven OS for industrial 3D printing, but he also co-founded Digimind, a company using AI to design and engineer sustainable packaging. His dedication to the field has been recognized by several esteemed bodies. He was selected as one of the 30 Under 30 future manufacturing leaders and also received the Medal of Outstanding Manufacturing Engineer from the Society of Manufacturing Engineers in the USA.

Dr. Matthias Bauer is the CEO and Co-founder of NAVASTO. Matthias holds a Ph.D. in aerodynamics from TU Berlin, a pursuit that builds on his studies at institutions such as TU München and the University of Washington. Since co-founding NAVASTO in 2014, he has guided the company in developing machine learning and deep learning solutions that have been embraced by automotive OEMs and motorsport teams, among others, enhancing their engineering processes.
