For one week, visitors to the IQZ in Hall 6 of the Deutsches Technikmuseum in Berlin-Kreuzberg can discover the comic installation ‘Developing AI sustainably? Sea cucumber seeks seagrass meadow’ - an artistic approach to key questions relating to artificial intelligence and sustainability.
A special highlight is the workshop with the AI ideas workshop on 17 June from 17:00 to 18:30. The mobile AI ideas workshop will be on site, and there will be a reading from the comic, a short keynote speech and plenty of space for dialogue and discussion on the square in front of the AI bus.
The presence of the comic's author, Dr Julia Schneider, who will open the evening with a humorous introduction on a meta-level, is particularly pleasing: Why actually explain AI with a comic? Between cat content, crypto-bros and a sea cucumber with a taste for shoes, she offers an entertaining approach to the big questions surrounding AI and sustainability. The comic essay was written by Dr Julia Schneider - with expert support from Dr Marcus Voß and Clara Isakowitsch - and illustrated by Pauline Cremer.
Clara Isakowitsch and Dr Marcus Voß will give the keynote speech. Together with Julia Schneider, they will use specific examples to highlight technical aspects of the sustainable development of AI.
Also on site: interactive AI demonstrators that show how artificial intelligence is already being used in environmental protection - for example with BirdNet Pi for analysing bird calls or the talking tree.
No additional ticket for the Museum of Technology is required to visit the workshop and the comic installation.
