The OpenGPT-X Forum 2024 will take place on Tuesday, 5 November, at the Forum Digitale Technologien in Berlin, providing an opportunity to explore the latest advances in AI research and large language model (LLM) applications from the OpenGPT-X project.
As the project nears its final phase, this in-person event will bring together key partners, including Fraunhofer IAIS/IIS, DFKI, Forschungszentrum Jülich, TU Dresden, IONOS, ControlExpert, and WDR, to showcase their work on building large AI language models from scratch and developing LLM-based applications. Although the project will continue until March 2025, this will likely be the last event featuring the full consortium.
The OpenGPT-X Forum is open to researchers, industry representatives, and the general public interested in the status of OpenGPT-X and the development of generative AI models in Germany. Attendees will have ample opportunities to network with experts from the project and key players in the German AI landscape.
Highlights of the event include:
-
OpenGPT-X under the Spotlight: Research highlights from the project will be presented through a series of short talks by project partners, followed by a poster session for more in-depth discussions.
-
Putting the "X" in OpenGPT-X: Insights will be shared on how OpenGPT-X is contributing to the Common European Language Data Space and the Gaia-X infrastructure.
-
OpenGPT-X in Action: Attendees will experience live demonstrations of LLM-based applications developed within the project. Partners will pitch their innovative solutions and host booths where the applications can be explored firsthand.
Whether a researcher, industry professional, or AI enthusiast, participants can expect valuable insights into the project’s milestones, challenges, and achievements as it approaches its final months.
The event will be conducted in English, with doors opening at 9:30 AM.
