Civic Coding-Atelier and Pitch & Connect

On Thursday, 11 December 2025, Civic Coding invites participants to the Atelier and Pitch & Connect at bUm Berlin (Paul-Lincke-Ufer 21). From 10:00 to 19:00 (doors open at 09:00), the event offers expert input, deep-dive sessions and presentations of innovative AI projects.

The morning begins with the Civic Coding Atelier, moderated by Ann Cathrin Riedel, bringing together experts, civil society and practitioners to explore how to strengthen AI readiness and foster public-interest innovation. Following an impulse session and a conversation with Kenza Ait Si Abbou, three interactive deep dives focus on regulation, skills & organisational structures, and innovation support. Participants will then share their results.

In the afternoon, the Civic Coding Accelerator takes the stage: twelve project teams present how their AI solutions address real societal challenges – from inclusion and accessibility to fair care work and sustainability. Hosted by Dr. Jacob Beautemps, the pitches connect innovators with stakeholders from policy, administration and industry. From 19:00 onwards, a networking session offers space to build partnerships and explore collaboration opportunities.
