The Cedalion Workshop is a 1.5-day hands-on workshop at the intersection of computer science and medicine. It focuses on Cedalion, a Python-based open-source toolbox for advanced multimodal analysis of fNIRS and DOT data in real-world settings. The workshop takes place as part of MoBI 2026 and accompanies the official release of Cedalion.
Participants will be introduced to the foundations of the toolbox and modern analysis pipelines, including channel- and image-space analysis, preprocessing, regression-based GLM approaches, head models, photon simulation, image reconstruction, and the use of machine learning methods for multimodal classification of fNIRS signals. Cedalion builds on established tools such as HOMER3 and AtlasViewer and integrates them into the Python ecosystem for data-driven research.
The event will be held in a hybrid format, with both onsite and online participation.
