Through their work in various areas of the generative AI industry in Germany, Alex, Jan and Jonas realised over a beer that there are very few people with whom they can have in-depth conversations about the state of the art in large language model applications. In cooperation with the German AI Association and the AI Village, the Developer Community for Large Language Models, LLM applications and generative AI was therefore created.
After the first successful events in 2024, the fourth meeting is now taking place - and for the first time in Berlin at KI Park. A big thank you to Latent Space and ThursdAI Podcasts for supporting AIDev within a global developer community.
This time the agenda includes two main topics: First, Dennis will give a deep insight into the newly evolving hosting landscape in Germany. Is it possible to run an open source model with comparable latency and at similar costs to the offerings of OpenAI and Microsoft in Germany? The second item on the programme will be announced in the coming weeks.
This developer community is aimed at developers and researchers who work with large language models and generative AI on a daily basis. The aim is to bring together people who understand the potential of these technologies and want to discuss current challenges and implementation strategies in depth.
