How do biases emerge in algorithms, and how do they affect our daily lives? The event “AI & Discrimination” on March 19, 2026 (6:00–7:30 PM) at the Bibliothek am Wasserturm in Berlin offers an accessible introduction to the topic of discrimination in AI systems.
Using practical examples, the workshop explains how bias can arise in data and models, how it influences automated decision-making, and why AI systems are not inherently neutral. The session aims to raise awareness of discrimination risks and encourage a fair and responsible approach to AI in the digital age.
The event is organized by Stadtbibliothek Pankow in cooperation with iRights.Lab and is open to all age groups. Doors open at 5:50 PM, admission is free, registration required.
