In July 2025, the #ai_berlin Hub – represented by Berlin Partner – officially joined the Coalition for Sustainable AI, a global initiative launched by France in collaboration with the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).
The coalition was introduced at the Paris AI Action Summit and brings together stakeholders from business, research, government, and civil society. Its mission: to foster responsible and sustainable AI practices that align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
By joining this international network, the #ai_berlin Hub gains access to cutting-edge developments, global best practices, and collaborative opportunities in the field of sustainable AI. The membership also strengthens Berlin’s visibility as a hub for ethical and forward-looking AI innovation.
This step reinforces our commitment to shaping AI that is not only innovative but also environmentally and socially responsible – both within the #ai_berlin community and beyond.
