Berlin Institute for the Foundations of Learning and Data (BIFOLD)

BIFOLD – the Berlin Institute for the Foundations of Learning and Data – is a BMBF-funded research center hosted at TU Berlin and FU Berlin, conducting foundational research in machine learning, big data management, and explainable AI. The institute brings together research groups from computer science and mathematics, offers structured PhD programs through a Graduate School, and cooperates with partners including Fraunhofer HHI. BIFOLD is part of Germany's national AI strategy.
