Bearcover develops autonomous care robots for night-shift operations in nursing and retirement homes, using UWB radar sensors to contactlessly monitor residents' rooms for anomalies such as falls or unusual movement patterns. The robot Oscar autonomously completes rounds every 15–20 minutes without disturbing residents' sleep and transmits real-time status alerts to nursing staff. The company received the Berlin DeepTech Award 2023 in the AI category and appeared on the German TV show Die Höhle der Löwen.
