The AI & Society Lab at the Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society (HIIG) researches societal implications of artificial intelligence at the interface between science, politics, and civil society. The interdisciplinary lab examines democratic regulatory approaches for automated infrastructures, develops practice-oriented research cooperations through pop-up labs with on-site partners, and positions itself as a European thought leader for a human rights-based and common good-oriented AI strategy.
